Bushfires, floods and extreme temperatures dominate the news headlines lately and have one main cause: climate change. But what has climate change to do with the Amazon rainforest? Well, the Amazon is one of the biggest remaining rainforests on earth and is called the lungs of the world. Nowadays, the Amazon is threatened by deforestation. The forest is rapidly cut down to expand agricultural lands for coffee, palm oil and soy. Luckily, the native inhabitants do everything in their power to protect “their” Amazon.

Mushrooms in Uganda? Yes you read it well! Growing mushrooms in Uganda is a big thing. Eco-Agric is a local organization that empowers local people to start their own mushroom farm. Moreover, there is a food supply for the people in the communities and it creates a sustainable income for the mushroom farmers. So it’s a win-win situation!

How the idea of a global platform for local giving formed

Have you ever wondered how you can help people, animals and the planet on the other side of the world but want your help to go directly to the organizations who need it? This was actually my thought that I had one year ago. This is the story behind the development for a global platform for local giving. Spoiler allert; a trip to Vietnam and the COVID-19 crisis had a postive influence!

One woman takes care of 400 street dogs in Jordan

In Jordan a woman has been on a mission since 2015 to promote the human treatment of dogs and cats. Therefore, Rodica has started a shelter in Aqaba called Al Rabee Society for Nature and Animal Protection (RSNAP) for street dogs. Read more about their good work.

Having a happy and joyful life is very important. It all starts with appreciating the small things in life.
